• Full Description: The Top Bar Beehive is locally crafted by Tamarak Fine Woodwork in Calgary. The TBH is known as a natural method of beekeeping. Acting like a fallen log, the honey bees are free to construct their comb and hive in a method of their choosing. By letting the bees behave naturally, it has been found that the bees are more resilient to environmental challenges.

  The TBH comes with:

  • Plexi observation window and cover
  • legs and attachment hardware
  • 21 top-bars
  • 1lb of wax
  • lid.

  The wood is finished with an organic linseed oil sealer to restrict shrinkage.
